Pet Portraiture

Because Your Best Friend Deserves To Be In Pictures!

I am in love with these classic images of a Human's Best Friend!  This beautiful boy is Barney, a Blue Heeler/Australian Cattle Dog, in a set of images that will grace his owner's home for many years to come!  Would you like to learn more about how to arrange for your pet to have similar images?  Read on....

Q and A

Q:   Do you own a dog?

A:  I do not.  Although I love dogs and come from a family that has always included at least one dog, my partner and I travel quite a bit and have decided that this is not the time and place for us to have a pup!

Q:  Do you photograph just dogs?

A:  Yes.   Often a dog will react in an instinctual but uncomfortable manner if they pick up the scent of cats, etc so at this time, just Dogs!

Q:  Are all of your images done in-studio?

A:  Yes.   I like having a contained space for the pups and not worrying about weather issues.   The studio is on a large lot (not fenced) so that there is opportunity for the pups to get some of their energy out before the session as well as take care of necessary business!

Q: Is there an additional fee for additional pets?

A:  Yes, as having more than one dog will require more time as often it is beneficial to photograph only one dog at a time during parts of the session.

Q:   How long does a session last?

A:   I like to not rush the session so that everyone can get comfortable and allow time for the "model" to take needed breaks.  Most sessions are allotted 2 hours (although most take less than an hour)  with a buffer between that session and any other sessions I might have that day.

Q:  Can I be included in some of the shots?

A:  Yes, of course!!

Q:  Do you sell digital images or printed images?

A:  Both.  I provide social media sized digital files of all images-for-print that you purchase for wall art or albums.   I do not see the value in only providing digital images as often they are never seen again once posted on social media.  You have invested too much to have that be the case!  Of course, if what you want are digitals, I will provide them, but the cost overall does not change.

Q:  How much is a session?

A:  The session fee is $150.  This is a non refundable retainer that reserves the photographer and studio for you.   Please contact me for a Price Guide!
